NIGERIAN singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi popularly called Sound Sultan, is dead. He died, yesterday, once battling with a rare sort of cancer. He was 44.

The Jagbajantis vocalizer was diagnosed with ‘angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma’ months back however, sadly, he lost the battle, at last. 


Announcing the singer’s death on behalf of the family, Dr. Kayode Fasasi aforementioned he died once a “hard-fought battle with ‘angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma’, a rare sort of cancer.

In a statement, the family said: “It’s with a serious heart that we tend to announce the passing of multi-talented singer, rapper, songwriter, Olanrewaju Fasasi, a.k.a Sound ruler. He passed on to the great beyond at the age of forty-four, following a difficult battle with ‘angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma’. 


He is survived by his woman, 3 youngsters, and his siblings.”
